2014 Project
Glasgow is hosting the 2014 common wealth games. In light of this Colours Magazine has decided to publish a series of limited edition photo books, highlighting the culture, art and heritage of Scotland. The photo books will be based upon contributions of photographs that have been taken in Glasgow or Scotland. The submission guidelines are as follows:
- The photographs should highlight the art, culture, people and heritage of Scotland.
- The photos should ‘not‘ have: digitally added text, should not be over the top photoshopped, they should not have borders, should not have partial desaturation and should not be anything that is not a photograph. Also please avoide nudity.
- It is your responsibility as a photographer to ensure that you have met all legal requirements for a photograph before submitting it and you own the rights to a photograph, e.g. you have got appropriate model and building release where required, you should own the photograph etc
- Technically the photographs should be ‘at least‘ : 8inch by 10inch and 300dpi (this ensures that there is no distortion when a photograph is printed on a large size). Please do no use digital enlargement.
- Photos submitted should be your finest, remember we are trying to show the best of Scotland and Glasgow, so photos should be work of art, and should be out there.
